Summary

Objective: it is possible to correct many nasal profile defects, as a primary aesthetical indication but also as a post surgical indication, and for functional problems.
Material and methods: the particular personal dilution with ona-botulinum toxin (Botox® / Vistabex®, Allergan) and abo-botulinum toxin (Dysport® / Azzalure®, Galderma) as well, is described. The injection technique, (“Off Label”) to reduce the power of the Depressor septi nasi muscle and the elevators involved in dropping of the nasal tip are described. Then the technique to improve the nasal profile with resorbable fillers is described, especially to avoid side effects: where and how to inject.
Results: the results of a medical rhinoplasty are always immediate after the filler correction. On the other hand, for the result of the rotation of the nasal tip after BTxA treatment, we must wait about 7 to 15 days. All technical details are described in the paper.
Discussion: medical rhinoplasty is a safe and very easy technique that follows the modern concept of minimally invasive procedures, to be performed directly in our offices. The indications are primarily aesthetical, correcting a kyphosis of the nasal dorsum, but can also be used for the correction of a lot of post-surgical defects due to incorrect techniques. Side effects are always very low. Lately, a very interesting functional indication was found in caseswhere the lateral cartilages collapses on the nasal septumwhile inspiring.
Conclusion: medical rhinoplasty must become an important treatment of any aesthetical doctor, but it will be very useful also for all those plastic surgeons that will have to correct a lot of minor post-surgical problems, and, as last indication, for all cases of collapsed lateral cartilages on the nasal septum.
